Genaesis Advises Former Navy SEAL on Three Acquisitions in Nineteen Months

Between June 2023 and January 2025, Kent Nygren built a federal services platform through three acquisitions.

Nygren came to the first transaction from a career in the United States Navy, where he served as a SEAL officer leading international projects and high-value programs. He is an engineering graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy and holds an MBA from MIT.

In June 2023 he acquired SRM Group, LLC of Virginia Beach, Virginia, a service-disabled veteran-owned provider of housing management, facilities support and maritime logistics to federal agencies. He serves as its president. Benchmark International advised the seller.

Eighteen months later, SRM Group acquired V W International, Inc. of Alexandria, Virginia, a facility lifecycle services firm founded in 1990 that supports healthcare facilities through transition and activation, equipment services, operations and maintenance, energy management and logistics. Quantive advised the seller.

A week after that, SRM Group acquired CNC Federal Supplies, LLC of Jacksonville, Florida, a supplier of office products, information technology and imaging products, business equipment and facility supplies to federal and commercial customers.

Terms of the transactions were not disclosed. Genaesis served as buy-side advisor to Kent Nygren and to SRM Group on all three.
