Axle, a data science and research solutions firm serving the National Institutes of Health, has acquired GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC, a provider of secure cloud modernization and AI-driven automation to federal agencies, based in Greenbelt, Maryland.

GAMA-1 Technologies delivers secure cloud infrastructure, enterprise modernization and operational support to federal agencies. Its customers include the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, NASA and the Missile Defense Agency.

The acquisition extends Axle from its biomedical research base into environmental data and earth observation.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
