Reston, VA |  November 11, 2019 – Genaesis is proud to announce and welcome Winslow Sargeant, Ph.D. as the company’s Senior Advisor for Globalization and Head of Capital Markets.

As incoming president of the International Council for Small Business (ICSB), Dr. Sargeant has been a strong advocate in helping countries worldwide develop powerful small business infrastructure as well as mentoring small businesses directly to accelerate their growth.

Both as a private investor and as a presidentially appointed, Senate-confirmed member of the Obama administration, Dr. Sargeant has worked nationally with capital providers to facilitate small business advancement.

“Coupled with Genaesis’ transactional expertise, which has allowed them to rapidly grow into one of the largest small business government contracting M&A firms in the country, my background is a perfect complement to both expand their offerings and provide greater deal flow to their potential capital partners,” Sargeant said.

“Having worked with Winslow for several years, his breadth of experience and depth of knowledge with small businesses is unparalleled,” said Genaesis Founder and CEO, Erin-Michael Gill. “We are thrilled to have him here at Genaesis.”

Winslow is a Kauffman Fellow, on the Presidential Leadership group at Stevens Institute of Technology, a trustee for the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF), a Trustee at Northeastern University, Board member of the Morgridge Institute for Research, and founding board member of FWB Financial. He received his Electrical Engineering BS from Northeastern University, MS from Iowa State, and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin.

ABOUT GENAESIS

Genaesis, LLC is one of the fastest-growing M&A firms in the country – surpassing $100M in total deal value in just over two years – specializing in transactions of Federal contractors with small business set-asides. In many cases, we help early-stage Government contractors buy larger Government contractors that typically have significant set-asides and might not be able to exit their business through traditional channels.

Fundamentally, our job is to help bring capital partners, buyers and sellers together in a way that makes sense. With over $100B of set-aside contracts let annually by the Federal Government, and hundreds of thousands of companies and individuals well positioned to acquire and grow firms with these set-asides, we see enormous opportunity in using leverage to affect significant transactions in this market. At Genaesis, we specialize in companies wishing to invest in rapid expansion.
