Genaesis Founder Elected to Chair the Trade Advisory Committee on Intellectual Property

In June 2018, Genaesis Founder and CEO Erin-Michael Gill was elected by his fellow advisors to chair ITAC-13, the Industry Trade Advisory Committee on Intellectual Property Rights.

The ITACs are congressionally mandated. Their appointed advisors provide policy and technical advice to the President, through the United States Trade Representative and the Secretary of Commerce, on trade barriers and the negotiation of trade agreements as well as the implementation of those already in force. Members are appointed by Commerce and USTR, while the chairman is elected by the committee itself.

Gill was first appointed to the committee during the Obama administration. From 2015 to 2018 he chaired the Investment Working Group, drawn from cleared advisors across every ITAC with experience in global investment and trade.
